## 2026-08-14 — Dogs and labor

### Added

- Individual dogs occasionally get short zoomies bursts with faster movement, animation streaks, and floating text.
- Dogs occasionally bark while awake, with a small generated sound and visible `WOOF!` cue.
- Scoop workers clock out and walk off-screen at night.
- One-time Night Shift authorization keeps scoopers working after dark for 75% higher wages.
- A Night Shift mission, BarkChat reactions, and live shift status.

### Changed

- Renamed More Walkies to Questionable Laxatives while preserving existing saved upgrade levels.
- Scoop workers finish delivering a carried bag before leaving at night.
- Dog personality timers pause while dogs sleep.

### Fixed

- Prevented a zero-duration compost update from evaluating `0 / 0` and corrupting cash with `NaN`.
- Invalid cash balances now recover to zero and are always treated as unaffordable.
- Hardened collection, cost, and money formatting against non-finite values.
